This is a problem that is also very prevelant in the Post production and CGI/VFX side of the industry. Schedules are always undersetimated, crews are always too small for the workload, and deadlines are always too short. I just finished working on the 2D-3D conversion of Clash of the Titans, and we had 2 days off in the final 2 months, with 14 hour days, 7 days a week for the last month to finish the show. The last week was 96 hours for me personally. This has to change, it's no way to spend your life. The occasional long day is acceptable, but every project shouldn't be an emergency.

Thanks for doing this!

I think it is terrific seeing so many crew people proudly showing off their hats and T-shirts. It is a really good way to promote the movement to end insane practice of 14 and 15 hours of work, every day of the week. "Making a living" is not the same as "Having a Life".
